The adjustment bolt goes through the spring inside the SmoothStar Thruster. On the end of the thread a square nut and split pin is secured in place so the thruster tension can be adjusted with an allen key. The screw rarely needs to be replaced but the plastic socket can sometimes wear out if constantly adjusted.
