Southport Onland Surf Training

The booking fee covers administration of the booking and management of the event. It also includes the ability to reschedule to later dates in case of bad weather. We have kept the costs of the training free. If you change your mind and can't make it, the booking fee is already used and non refundable.

Beginner Level: first timers or surfers catching their own waves in whitewater.
Intermediate Level: Catching green waves, trimming and starting to do turns.
Advanced Level: Bottom/Top turns going left and right. Starting to do more critical turns. 

100% not. We will have many boards available to ride. They will all be fully serviced and suitable for each student.

Riding when the surface is wet and dangerous. If the weather forecast is severe, the event will be postponed to another date. You will not lose your booking fee.

100%. All students must wear a helmet as part of SmoothStar safety insurance policy. No Helmet, no riding. Additional safety equipment such as knee/elbow and risk guards are optional. 

You can ride whatever board you want before or after the lesson. Due to insurance purposes, students cannot ride any other branded product during the class period.

SmoothStar International abides by the latest government requirements. All SmoothStar staff have the latest vaccination requirements and will have RAT tests 12hrs prior to the event. If you have health covid concerns we recommend you wear a mask. Coaches will do their best to keep social distances where appropriate.
